"As a first-time client, was I nervous? Yes. Was I self-conscious? Yes, for approximately 90 seconds. Will I do it again? Oh, heck yes! Marliee and I had never met, but I've admired her work for years and decided I didn't want to wait anymore to schedule a session. I had the most fun day trying different outfits, playing dress-up, and laughing with Marilee. Her hair and make-up is next-level amazing. I'm still trying to figure out how she made my hair look so good. Her pose coaching was fun, silly, and also really helpful. TRUST THE PROCESS! I loved how nerdy she got with the lighting and that totally comes through in her art. I'm so, so happy with the pictures and am already planning my next session."

"Marilee Caruso definitely put me at ease in doing my first professional shoot in five years. She’s a true professional, a woman of her word, and very direct (in a positive way!) about setting up the right shoot for you. When I was kind of up in the air about one idea, she came up with suggestions for me, which was very helpful. Posing topless around her was absolutely comfortable too. I have two favorite parts of working with Marilee: Getting to know her (she’s hilarious, beautiful, and a great person!), seeing her studio and all her wardrobe. And on the flipside, building a photographer-model relationship with her post shoot, having her touchup any additional photos (she’s super fast!), and having her cheer me on in my pin up hobby! Marilee’s work is truly one of a kind. Seriously, try to find someone quite like her, let alone, on the west coast! She’s very in tune with lighting, and I even got a little mini photography lesson from her. "I've been working with Marilee for a year now over several pinup photoshoots, and she is a dream to work with--she's an absolute wizard with hair and makeup, and is a knock-out stylist and set designer! I feel like a queen for a day when I shoot with her--her studio is warm and inviting, her wardrobe is to die for, and she's so delightful to interact with! Marilee is very easy-going and will make your feel relaxed and comfortable during the whole shoot, and is wonderful with giving direction if you're new to posing on camera. Her communication before/during/after the shoot was prompt and crystal clear. I can't recommend her highly enough!"

"I'm just a regular gal. I'm a 37 year old, stay at home with 3 kiddos. I've never done ANYTHING like this. The last time I had my photos done was for my wedding. I came across Marilee on Instagram and loved her photos. I thought, I should have done this 10 years ago before my body was ravaged by pregnancy and age. Then, I thought, I don't want to be 47 wishing I just did it 10 years prior. Haha! So, I booked it. Showed up nervous at Marilees house. She was so sweet and warm. We went up to her beauty area. She has a TON of things to choose from. Whether you want to be fully clothed in a fancy dress or scantily clad in pin-up style lingerie she's got a ton of sizes. I was worried about what she had to offer so I brought a suitcase full of my own options and wore nothing I brought. Not even my own shoes. She did my hair and makeup and then it was time to shoot. She gave me a lot of posing instructions. Since I has never done anything like this, I still felt a little awkward. But, that was just my own fault. Ha! I got my proofs and was very nervous to see them. She sent 5 retouched photos and I couldn't believe my eyes! She actually got some really great photos. She also let's you see all the other raw photos and there were some real awkward looking photos. So, the fact that she was able to shoot my awkward self and get some great shots was so impressive! I can't wait to do it again. So, if you're just a regular gal like me and are on the fence about doing it, just do it! You're in great hands with Marilee."

I cannot be specific with what my favorite part was about the experience, because the whole experience was great and it was such a pleasure to shoot will Marilee. I love her dog too. I would tell a friend that if they want to feel glam and done up and just have a fun time, set up a shoot.
